Originally from Utica, NY, Dr. Jennifer Petronella fell in love with Michigan after moving here for her studies at Eastern Michigan University. She graduated cum laude with a bachelor of science in biology in 2005, then earned her doctorate (again graduating with honors) at Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine.
She returned to Michigan to complete her 3-year podiatric medical and surgical residency at Providence Hospital & Medical Center, serving as chief resident in her final year.
Dr. Petronella is committed to expanding her skill set and maintaining the highest standards of care. During her residency, she completed AO Basic and Advanced courses in surgical fixation techniques. She became board qualified in foot surgery in 2012, and board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine in 2019.
When she’s not caring for her patients, Dr. Petronella loves spending time outdoors with her twin boys, enjoying the many activities that all four seasons of Michigan have to offer.
